New Beginnings - Excitement Abounds!

I am so excited to finally be launching Performance Z Arrays and our first production model of the 2-element vertical array. This has been an off and on project for me for over two years, starting with a very poor design for the first iteration, to the now third iteration of the switching network. I am very proud of this kit; first of all, it works very well, and it as one friend put it a very elegant design.

I wanted to make this as simple of a kit as was practical so that even beginners in amateur radio could have the advantage of some gain. I hope those of you who purchase the kit find it provides an enhancement to your station and your enjoyment of amateur radio. I would love to have your feedback and hear your stories about this array.

As we progress with this 2-element design, I will continue to refine the product and documentation to make it better. I am also committed to experimentation with this kit to provide uses such as 1/8 wavelength spacing for smaller installation footprints and other possible phased array configuration using this kit.

I look forward to the adventure and also putting my passion for amateur radio and design into other new designs to bring into production and to the world of amateur radio.

John,

Super excited for your company launch. My interest in your kit is extraordinary and I am really excited to see and learn more about your offering this was started from your visit with Callum, in fact, I even went so far as to price out a kit myself based on your website. I am interested in the 40m version. Wondering what you typically use for radiators?

Art,

thanks for being part of the journey, excited you are here. I have been testing with Dx commander poles 7M, 9M and 10M poles and DX 10 Wire. That said, I am testing with other verticals like aluminum tubing, telescoping whips, etc. When properly tuned these should work. I am also looking ad doing some more exotic radiators, but that is another post altogether.

Again, thanks for joining the journey... this is going to be fun.
